Swim Teacher & Coach for almost 20 years,
Swim Australia Teacher Course Facilitator and presenter.
Main role; building students up to transition from Learn to Swim to Junior Squad, so technique is maintained.

Chris Stathis

Chris is the Director of Swimming and oversees the standard & quality of the swim program here at Elite.
He also heads the coaching team at Essendon Aquatic by applying his knowledge on high performance training
& sports science.

Desmond Ong

Des swam for Malaysia from 1993-1997 in various South East Asian competitions during this period.

ASCTA Bronze License Coach.
Swim Australia (Teaching Certificate)
International LifeSaving Society (Belgium) Qualified with CPR & First Aid.

Worked with Club & State squads in Malaysia. Has been coaching junior swimmers for the past 14 years. Always on the lookout for new up & coming talent for the squads.

 

 

 

 

 

Chris Briffa

Chris has been with Elite Swimming for over 4 years. Working primarily with Junior squads at VU.
Enjoys coaching and seeing kids develop in their swimming.


Bronze level coach
Have been Austwim qualified since 1998.
Has cert. 3 & 4 in Fitness. Registered with Kinect (VicFit)
THUMP Level one & Advanced Accredited Boxing for Fitness Instructor

Has also done a number of workshops in nutrition, Exercise

Camille Holman

Began Learn-To-Swim teaching with Elite at the beginning of 2007 and then started coaching with the club May 2009.
Junior Squad & Assistant Coaching Licence
Currently coaching the Junior Squad at PEGS and through a program organised by Essendon Aquatic began coaching at Brimbank Swimming Club at St. Albans in April this year.  
Swam for the club for 6 years and competed at states 2004 - 2007
Currently studying Occupational Therapy at La Trobe University, Bundoora.
